A Killer Whale named "Shamu" in Orlando, Florida, dragged a female "Sea World" trainer into the water where she was thrashed around violently and ultimately died.
The Killer Whale also known as "Orca" is the largest species in the Dolphin family. Killer Whales who are free in the wild are not considered to be a threat to humans but Killer Whales held in captivity have attacked their trainers on occasion.
Although I feel very sorry for the Sea World trainer who was killed, I also feel sorry for the whales like "Shamu" who are forced to perform tricks all day instead of being in their natural wild habitat.
