The Bloom Box - Power Your Own Home - 60 Minutes Video

"Bloom Energy" is making news headlines today after a 60 Minutes show revealed secretive information about "The Bloom Box" which has been under development now for a decade.

"The Bloom Box" is a green power technology that is designed to replace our current energy systems. It's much more efficient than solar energy and if the "Bloom Energy" company can lower the costs of their Bloom Boxes there will be a huge amount of savings for companies, and possibly even homeowners in the future.

Although K.R. Sridhar, the founder of Bloom Energy, has kept the whole "Bloom Box" project has pretty much been kept under wraps, large companies including Wal-Mart, Fed Ex, and Ebay have been testing the Bloom Boxes out and are reporting good results. The first company to have the new "Bloom Box" green power technology installed was Google.

A single "Bloom Box" block has enough power to run an average European home, and it will take two Bloom Boxes to power the average American home which uses twice as much power.

The "Bloom Energy" project has received $400,000 million in private funding in the hopes that this will be the future of green energy power.
