News of yesterday's Buffalo plane crash is topping today's headlines. The Continental connection Flight 3407 was headed to Buffalo when it crashed at 10:20 p.m. February 12, 2009, only 7 miles away from the Buffalo Niagara international Airport.
The airplane crashed directly into a neighborhood home, killing one person inside the house and injuring a mother and daughter. The neighbors described the crash as extremely loud, shaking the ground.
Tragically 49 passengers aboard Flight 3407 were killed in the crash among them was 9/11 widow Beverly Eckert, the wife of deceased Sean Rooney who was killed in the World Trade Center.
It is not yet known what caused the airplane to crash but Buffalo residents have reported that the airplane engine did not sound right and then fell silent before the plane nose dived.
With the recent amount of recent random plane crashes passengers should think about getting
international travel insurance to protect their loves ones in case of an unforeseen tragedy.
