Kindle 2 Review - Amazon's Wireless Reading Device

I first learned about the "Kindle" wireless reading device while watching the Oprah Winfrey Show. Oprah Winfrey was basically freaking out over all of the things that the Kindle can offer those who love to read and let the world know it that the "Amazon Kindle" was one of her favorite things.

what caught my attention the most was that once you purchase the Amazon Kindle you purchase the much cheaper kindle version of books, magazines, and newspapers. So if you're a heavy reader over time you'll actually save money while switching to Kindle.

The expense of a Kindle is also well worth it for those who have learning disabilities that make it difficult to read as the Amazon's Kindle offers text to speech technology, meaning it is able to read the words back to you. A great feature for those with learning disabilities such as dyslexia.

Here are just some of the great features that the Amazon Kindle 2 (latest generation) offers:

- There are no system requirements and no computer is needed.

- It's lightweight and easy to take anywhere.

- It has a long battery life and can last up to two weeks with the wireless turned off and up to 4 days with wireless on before needing to be recharged. Charging the Amazon Kindle to takes around 4 hours.

- The device holds over 1500 books so you can bring your personal electronic library with you wherever you go.

- Paper-like screen is easy on the eyes. Unlike a regular computer screen the Amazon Kindle was designed for easy and enjoyable reading. You can even read outdoors on a sunny day with no glare.

- Wireless access to Wikipedia.

- Great prices on Amazon Kindle store products such as books, newspapers, and magazines.

If you'd like to find out more about the Amazon Kindle 2 and what Kindle users think about the product you can read thousands of user reviews here on Amazon's Kindle Page.

Also, if you own or have used an Amazon Kindle please feel free to leave a comment here about your own experience with the Amazon Kindle or Amazon Kindle 2 for others to read.

Note: I am an Amazon.com affiliate and earn a percentage of products I sell through this website. I am also a huge fan of Amazon.com and shop there myself.
