I've been a big fan of Ted Geisel (Dr. Seuss) since using his books to read my first words as a four-year-old child. Now as a mother I have just about every Dr. Seuss book imaginable sitting on my children's book shelf and they are still my favorites. But until today I'd never seen a picture of the writer behind some of the world's best children's books, he was a bit of a mystery.
Ted Geisel was born on March 2, 1904 and died September 24, 1991. Since today is Geisel's birthday fans are taking the chance to talk about his most famous books and Google has even created a special design for their search page to celebrate the day. I know that Dr. Seuss is famous for the classic children's book "The Cat in the Hat
I consider Ted Geisel to be one of the best artists and poets of all time. His work truly sparks the imagination. If Geisel were alive today he would be turning 105. Happy birthday Dr. Seuss!
