83-year-old comedic actor Jerry Lewis has suffered from many illnesses over the years including ALS, prostate cancer, diabetes, pulmonary fibrosis, 2 heart attacks, and serious back trouble from a comedic stunt gone wrong in the 1960's.
He has dedicated years of his life to helping raise money for children with disabilities and has been rewarded by receiving an honorary humanitarian award at the 2009 Academy Awards on Sunday, February 22, 2009.
