Actor James Whitmore Dies At The Age Of 87

James Whitmore who was known for being the "King of the One Man Show" and last year publicly supported Barack Obama's presidential campaign. On January 4, 2008 he gave a speech in the support of Obama saying he was "mad as hell" and that he wasn't "going to take it anymore."



Whitmore began acting in the 1940's and had 4 wives during his lifetime including Audra Lindley who played the role of Mrs. Roper on the hit 70's sitcom "Three's Company." He succumbed to lung cancer today at the age of 87, leaving behind his wife Noreen Nash.
