Kathy Griffin - Funny or Just Plain Tacky?

The Internet is buzzing today about Kathy Griffin's New Years Eve show with Anderson Cooper that was broadcasted on CNN. Watching Griffin use her brazen sense of comedy next to the highly reserved Cooper was enough to make a whole lot of viewers squirm (not to mention Anderson himself).

Was Kathy Griffin being fun and cute or did she go to far? That's the online debate going on today over at You Tube and many other sites around the Web. Whether you love her or hate her she definitely leaves an impression which in the celebrity world is always a good thing.

Personally I would like to see someone else standing beside Anderson Cooper next year. A comedian would be great, but maybe one with a little less abrasive sense of humor would mesh better with Cooper's personality. I couldn't help feel sorry for Anderson Cooper as he hosted the show with Griffin and it took away from the shows entertainment value, I actually had to change the channel before the 2009 countdown.
