This morning Waubonsie Valley High School located in Aurora, Illinois was under lockdown as police searched the school for weapons. Authorities had reason to believe that guns were on the premises and removed the students to do a thorough sweep of the school.
No word yet on how the rumor of an iminent threat began but after police deemed the high school safe the teens were allowed to continue on with their classes. I think it's great that the police acted so quickly to protect the students and staff at Waubonsie, even though nothing was found this time the authorities could have prevented a huge tragedy with their investigation.
