Could Crest Pro Health Rinse Stain Your Teeth?

Crest Pro Health Rinse is supposed to fight plaque and bad breath without the use of alcohol. But some customers say that after using the product their teeth have ugly brown stains that need to be bleached in order to fix it.

Some customers have also complained of losing some sense of taste as well, what some call "taste numbing."

During the three years that Crest Pro Health has been on store shelves there has been no public controversy over the product and it's possible side effects.

But after a Today Show report featured consumers that were disappointed in the product and want P&G to post a side effect warning label on the bottle of Crest Pro Health Rinse to warn consumers, there's been a huge buzz in the media, causing many more unhappy Crest Pro Health Rinse users to come forward with their own stories of unwanted side effects.

Crest has now posted a statement by a dentist and clinical researcher on the Crest website to address consumers concerns. The company has said that although a small percentage of rinse users may have experienced negative side effects that millions of consumers are happy with the product, and that 99.9% of Crest Pro Health users haven't had any problems whatsoever with the product.

I began using Crest Pro Health in December, after it was recommended by my hygeniest. A few months later I noticed my teeth were beginning to stain, and brushing did not help. I went to the dentist and had my teeth "sand blasted". It got the stain off. I later heard about the staining on Today.
