North America will soon be in for a cosmic show because there's a Lunar Eclipse due to begin at 8:43 p.m. tonight, February 20 2008, and end at 12:09 a.m.
During a Lunar Eclipse the moon is completely covered by the earth's shadow and can appear in a variety of different colors.
Tonights eclipse is expected to be a range between orange and red and will be completely visible to the naked eye.
NASA says that it is perfectly safe for us to watch tonight's solar eclipse and that no protection is necessary unlike when you're viewing a solar eclipse.
