Is The Media Over Analyzing Britney's Custody Case?

I know Britney Spears has her problems but it seems as though scrutinizing her every move publicly for months on end is getting a bit carried away, even for the media.

As the Spears/Federline custody case goes on and on, so does the continuous media coverage. At first what seemed interesting it is now becoming repetitive and maybe even a little bit ridiculous at this point.

The latest Britney news is that she's being investigated for allegations of child abuse. There are television broadcasts specifically discussing the topic, which really nobody but those closest to Britney know anything about.

I'm hoping that the judge is sincere in wanting to to do the best thing for Britney's two young boys. But part of me wonders if this isn't just another judge's attempt to hold the media's attention?

After all, words like "losing custody" and "child abuse" in relation to a pop star are going to spread through the web, television, magazines, and newspapers like wildfire.

I'm not saying that Britney Spears should win the mother of the year award, but I do believe that all children need a mother. Britney Spears is going through some serious personal issues right now.

I personally think she could be suffering from postpartum depression or some other similar type of problem.

I hope that the judge will at least order psychiatric evaluation and drug treatment and counseling before he decides to take away full custody, because it seems as though that's where this is all heading.

Am I the only one that feels at all sorry for Britney Spears? I actually think that I just might be.
