A First For Larry King

Those who were looking forward to the Larry King interview with the plastic surgeon who operated on the late Donda West, were both disappointed and surprised when Dr. Jan Adams decided he wasn't going through with the interview just as soon as it began.

The doctor has been in the hot seat since the 58 year old mother of Hip Hop performer Kanye West experienced complications due to her surgery that resulted in death.

Apparently the reason for Dr. Jan Adams sudden change of heart was a letter he received from the West family. The doctor apologized as he left the interview, saying that he wanted to respect the West family's wishes.

This is the first time in the history of the Larry King Live Show that a guest has walked out during a live interview. The staff at CNN had to quickly improvise to fill in the remainder of the show, and has invited the doctor back for another chance at an interview at a later date if he changes his mind.

You can find more on this story and the events leading up to it on CNN.com.

How can CNN pretend surprise when the producer admits the doctor told them in advance that the West family did not want him to appear but she asked him to make a brief appearance anyway, just to explain why he couldn't do the show. So why did they act so shocked? Total BS, that's why! Ratings, that's why. Perhaps King thought he could bully the doctor into staying but the man had already told them he wasn't doing the interview.

Hi Sunny,

I heard a different story, that it was only moments before the show that he changed his mind. But either way it was an entertaining Larry King, I love CNN.
