Why did you first decide to begin blogging?
I had a habit of writing diary during my school days. After sometime, I felt that didn't help me in any way other than recollecting past sometimes bitter incidents. So I stopped writing. But the urge for writing was there in me dormant. In 2004, I actually started my first blog. After two posts, for some reasons it didn't interest me much. I didn't continue. All of a sudden Jan. 2007, I felt myself pregnant with words and wanted to deliver it when the time has come and the first babe was Under The Sun. After 10 posts I felt the need to provide healthy creative food to bring up it as a well-nourished babe and one after the other born three other niche blogs. I am happy to see all growing healthy.
You have four very interesting blogs, how do you manage to keep them all current?
That's a tough question to answer. Since I am a part time blogger, I find some 2 hours time in weekdays in the evenings. Saturdays and Sundays are when I spend much of my time collecting details. Flower Girl's Rural India consumes most of the time, since the details needed to be accurate and I cannot make stories. I do a lot of homework. But rest of the blogs are just what I think, what I see and what I do. In fact, I don't do homework for these blogs. I try to post at least one post per blog, besides participating in the community blog forums.
Your blog, Flower Girl's Rural India, has not only been nominated for Best Blog Of All Time but has received many votes so far, how do you feel about receiving so much support for your blogging efforts?
I am currently in 15th place. I am happy that I have got good number of votes. But I would want to get in the first five places. My blog is yet to reach more people. I take this opportunity to thank all the bloggers who have voted for my blog. I request others who have not voted so far to vote for my blog via this interview. Thank you :)
You use a variety of different images on your blog, Looking Through The Window. Not only are you a great writer but you have an eye for beauty, do you consider yourself to be an artistic person?
Actually, those photographs are being gathered when I do my research for Flower Girl's Rural India. I felt I should appreciate those photographs for their uniqueness and beauty and thus born Looking Through Window.
Yes, of course. I do a little drawing.I love photography. I am passionate about nature. I am overwhelmed when I see colors wherever they are. I am passionate about colors, music, dance and nature
Can you describe a few of the main traits of the Indian culture?
*Family System
*Respect for elders/Hospitality
*Festivals & Occasions
*Religious Belief
*God Fearing
*Unique methods in Food & Drink preparation
What do you love most about the Indian culture?
Festivals & Occasion. I have written about how a Marriage ceremony/menarche is celebrated in India.
Basically, the main concept is to bring together the kith and kins so that the relationship is maintained for a longer period and among a wider circle, which gives the new couple or the girl a feeling that they/she belong(s) to a bigger society. A minimum of 500 people will be invited for a marriage function in an average earning family.
Where do you see yourself in five years from now? Will you still be blogging?
That's unpredictable, since a girl's life in India, is not decided by the girl alone.Once she is married, the groom and his family members also take part in deciding what the girl has to do. Sometimes it's a curse; but with the changing environment, there are grooms who support girl's choices nowadays. But for sure a mother, a working woman. Blogging, yes I want to continue; hopefully, I would like to be blessed in that regard as well. I have written a related article about this in Under The Sun.
Thank you Sindhu for taking the time to do this interview!

Hi Sindhu!
Your comment is gone, where'd you go. I've been having Internet connection problems and have not been able to respond to comments as quickly as usual.
To answer your question, I think that you are about the fourth person to be interviewed.
Believe it or not I will actually be interviewing Santa Claus soon! Thanks again for participating, I appreciate it! :)
Sindhu is one of my favorite bloggers and I am so glad to have read her interview here. I was awarded a charity blogger award and saw the lovely Sindhu's avatar. I would highly recommend her blogs and urge you to vote for her.
